Dr. Nadine E. Rusch-Schenker
Dr. Nadine E. Rusch-Schenker combines academic expertise in strategic management with extensive international leadership and advisory experience across real estate, finance, infrastructure, and corporate development. Her work focuses on corporate strategy, governance, organisational development, and the execution of complex strategic initiatives - bridging academic research with practical management experience.
As Vice Chair of Valinfort, she contributes strategic perspective and governance oversight as part of the firm's Board of Directors and supports selected projects and strategic initiatives on demand.
Career
Dr. Rusch-Schenker is Head of the Department of Banking & Finance, Controlling and Real Estate at HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at the Swiss Real Estate Institute, SwissREI. In addition, she holds a position as Senior Lecturer and Affiliated Researcher at the Institute of Management & Strategy of the University of St. Gallen. She previously led the Master Programme in General Management (MGM-HSG), one of the university's largest and internationally top ranked master programmes.
Prior to her academic career, she held senior strategy and leadership roles at CBRE and Johnson Controls, where she was responsible for strategy advisory, international strategic initiatives, organisational development, and operational improvement programmes. She also held several strategic project and leadership positions at SBB Real Estate, at a subfloor technology company, and in property management. Over the course of her career, she has advised and led projects across real estate, banking & finance, insurance, infrastructure, building technology, construction, and energy.
Dr. Rusch-Schenker earned her PhD in Strategic Management from the University of St. Gallen, co-supervised by the Said Business School. Her academic work focuses on corporate strategy, strategic execution, restructuring, and decision-making in complex organisational environments.
